The purpose of this request is to obtain approval of the identification plate format drawings when requesting Approval of Identification Plate Drawings.

This DID contains instructions applicable when requesting Approval of Identification Plate Drawings required by 3.5.7 of MIL-DTL-18307(AS).

This DID contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task described in the contract SOW.

This DID is applicable to the acquisition of electronic aeronautical and support equipment. When applied in contract, this DID will be tailored to the specific information required in Block 16 of the DD Form 1423, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).

This DID supersedes DI-SESS-81655.
