Logistics Product Data (LPD) Summaries consist of information required for the requiring authority to conduct logistics planning and analysis, influence program decisions, assess design status, and verify contractor performance. Requirements for these summaries shall be coordinated with data requirements of other program functional elements to minimize redundancies and inconsistencies.
a. It is not intended that all the requirements contained herein should be applied to every program. This Data Item Description (DID) should be tailored to the minimum requirements of the applicable contract or purchase order.
b. This DID is applicable to acquisitions of military systems, equipment, and components.
c. This DID supersedes DI-SESS-81759, Logistics Product Data Summaries.
Preparation Instructions
1Referenced Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and the dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be specified in the contract.

2Format.The format for each LPD Summary is contained in the “Report Format" section of TA-HB-0007-1 otherwise it shall be defined by the requiring authority.
3Content.The required content of each LPD Summary is defined in the “Data Source" section of TA-HB-0007-1 for the particular contracted summary. The data shall be compliant with GEIA-STD-0007 and the summary shall provide the following, otherwise the content shall be defined by the requiring authority.
3.1Mandatory and Optional Selection Criteria.Each LPD Summary can contain both mandatory and optional selection criteria for processing the summary's data. The selection criteria for each LPD Summary is defined in the “Report Scope” section of TA-HB-0007-1 for the particular contracted summary or as defined by the requiring authority.
3.2Sequencing.Each LPD Summary can contain numerous parts to the summary and is defined in the “Report Sequencing” section of TA-HB-0007-1 for the particular contracted summary or as defined by the requiring authority.
3.3Calculations.Each LPD Summary can contain calculations to produce the summary. The formulas for the calculations are defined in the “Processing” section of TA-HB-0007-1 for the particular contracted summary or as defined by the requiring authority.
