The Ordnance Alteration (ORDALT) instruction is related information required to perform and support the alteration of a naval weapon, weapon system, equipment or related computer program.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the content and format preparation instructions for data resulting from the work task described by 4.1 of MIL-STD-1662.
b. This DID is intended for the acquisition of ORDALT instructions to be issued as naval ordnance equipment/systems technical documentation. ORDALT instructions cover expendable and non-expendable items that are either in service (shipboard or shore activities), in store, or awaiting installation.
