The Repeated Loads Design Criteria Report describes the spectrum of loads the aircraft store will encounter across its operational service life. The data will be used in the calculation of the store's fatigue life in order to verify the store has met the system performance requirements in the specified operational environment.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task described by the contract SOW.
This DID supersedes DI-SESS-82232.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2FormatContractor format acceptable.
3ContentThe Repeated Loads Criteria Report shall contain the following:
3.1Maneuver loads spectra and the derivation thereof
3.2Distribution of applied in-flight loads at the carriage stationDescribe the airplane weight, altitudes, speed, symmetrical and unsymmetrical load factors, variable geometry positions and configurations to substantiate the data.
3.3Ground-air-ground cycles spectra
3.4Distributions of applied ground loads due to the landing gearDistributions of applied ground loads due to the landing gear, arresting hook, catapult launch bar, catapult holdback structure and airframe response loads for landing, taxiing, takeoff, and ground handling conditions.
3.5Details of analyses methods with sample calculations as appropriate
