The Pod Structural Design Criteria Report describes the complete set of criteria used to design a pod structure. The data will be used to verify that the pod structure will meet all operational and maintenance requirements defined in the contract.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content for data resulting from the work tasks described by the contract statement of work.

This DID supersedes DI-SESS-82265.

3ContentThe Pod Structural Design Criteria report shall contain the following:

3.2Additional relevant and tailored structural design criteriaDescribe any additional relevant and tailored structural design criteria that are to be used to design the pod structure.

3.3Proposed structural design criteria that differs from common and accepted aerospace industry design criteriaDescribe any proposed structural design criteria that differs from common and accepted aerospace industry design criteria for Naval Tactical Aircraft structural design.

3.4Verification methodology to be used in conjunction with the structural design criteriaDescribe the verification methodology to be used in conjunction with the structural design criteria to show that the pod structure will meet the requirements in the contract.
