The Material Inspection and Receiving Report (DD Form 250) provides a contractual delivery mechanism for separate and distinct deliverables (separately or not separately priced). Copies of DD Form 250 can be obtained at: https://www.esd.whs.mil/Directives/forms/. It is intended to document the inspection, acceptance, receipt and delivery of the service or product.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content and intended information for the data product resulting from the work task described in the contract statement of work (SOW).

Preparation Instructions

1Reference DocumentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions shall be as specified in the contract.

2FormatThe Material Inspection And Receiving Report (DD Form 250) shall be formatted in accordance with DD Form 250 and shall be provided in Adobe Acrobat Portable Data Format (PDF). Refer to DD Form 250 Instructions for guidance to complete the form.

3ContentThe Material Inspection and Receiving Report (DD Form 250) shall contain the data appearing on the DD Form 250 Instructions to include digital signatures.
