The CDP provides detailed configuration data for tests.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work described in the solicitation.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in contract.

2Format

2.1Text shall be prepared for standard letter size paperText shall be prepared for standard letter size paper (8 1/2 x 11").

2.2.1Acceptance Data Package (ADP) documentsAcceptance Data Package (ADP) documents are not required to be delivered in native format. PDF or government agreed to format is acceptable.

2.2.2Microsoft Office document shall be deliveredMicrosoft Office document shall be delivered in native format only and are not required to be delivered in PDF format also.

2.3CDPs shall be digitally signedCDPs shall be digitally signed (or printed, signed and scanned with Government approval) by the Contractor's Chief Engineer or equivalent.

2.4Security classification and distribution markingsSecurity classification and distribution markings shall conform to the requirements of the contract.

2.5The CDP shall be a standalone packageThe CDP shall be a standalone package; it shall not contain hyperlinks to supporting documents. Classified information shall be provided separately via Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR), and notated in the appropriate section in the CDP.

3Content

3.1Title Page and/or text read-me fileTitle Page and/or text read-me file that identifies the data by providing contract number, item name, validity date, version from first package, data files on a particular media (digital Table of Contents), and data format (for computer files).

3.2A list of all CDP documentsA list of all CDP documents shall be reviewed and approved by the government prior to all listed documentation being delivered to the government for each test activity. All documentation on the approved list shall be delivered with each CDRL including, but not limited to, all documentation listed below under CDP contents.

3.3CDP contents

3.3.1Hardware ConfigurationDocumentation defining composition of the asset hardware for the test event shall be listed. This includes top-level drawing numbers, revisions, release dates, and associated parts lists. A full set of drawings and hardware configuration documentation shall be included in each delivery.

3.3.2Interconnect DiagramThis section shall include schematics, graphics, or other images that identify interconnectivity of components, communication paths, and connectivity to any other test participants. These shall be added as an attachment to the CDP, or inserted into the body of the document.

3.3.3Software ConfigurationThis section shall identify the exact version(s) (to the lowest dot build being tracked by the participant) of the software loaded on the asset, including any interface driver versions; and software version description documents, revisions, and release dates. A full set of software configuration documentation shall be included in each delivery.

3.3.4System SettingsThis section shall identify any adjustable parameters and settings used to optimize the system to meet the objective(s) of the test. Included in this section shall be mission profile settings, system adjustable parameters, data parameters, operator input options and selections, script files, search fence databases, sensor resource managers, forwarding tables, and/or other related adjustable setting information. If there is a range for the selectable setting, include the range as well as the planned/used selection. If this information is classified, it shall be provided separately via SIPR, and notated in the appropriate section in the CDP. Reasonable accommodations shall be made to provide the data needed to represent system configuration as agreed between the Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance Directorate and the participating element. A full set of system setting and adjustable parameter documentation shall be included in each delivery.

3.3.5Deviations/Waivers/Variances/DeparturesList all deviations, waivers, variances, and departures for the asset. A full set of deviation, waiver, variance, and departure documentation shall be included in each delivery.

3.3.6Calibration RequirementsThis section shall list all calibration requirements, if which shall occur or did occur during the defined test period following the execution of the CDP.

3.3.7Security RequirementsThis section shall include all security requirements which may occur following the submission of the final CDP (such as password resets, software patches, crypto key resets, etc.). The section should also state the expiration date of the Interim Authorization to Test and Approved Test Operation. Passwords shall be checked and extended throughout the test event and any backup days.

3.3.8Test DocumentationThis section shall list all documents by name/number, version, and date released which can be provided to support the CDP. The document list shall include user manuals, test plans, mission support plans, data management plans, test procedures, operator procedures, and lockdown plans. A full set of test documentation shall be included in each delivery.

3.3.9Open Paper/Action ItemsThis section shall include all action items from major reviews for the test which have not been dispositioned as of the submittal of the CDP, including any other open paper such as non-conformances, System Test Observations, Q-Notes, Test Incident Reports, Web-based System Trouble Reports, Test Observation Reports, Simulation Trouble or Issue Reports, Software Change Requests or other test incidents currently under review or otherwise open. Estimated closure dates and anticipated dispositions for all items shall be documented.
