Use & Relationship
The Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and Special Test Equipment (STE) – Development and Maintenance identifies all PSE and STE required for the development and sustainment of the product. Examples of PSE include special tooling, handling fixtures and carts, holding/adapter fixtures, storage and shipping containers, cooling carts, and cables/harnesses that support the product. Examples of STE include Special Inspection Equipment (SIE), breakout boxes, Built-in-Test equipment and cables/harnesses required for testing.
Both PSE and STE can be classified as either new or reuse. New PSE and STE refers to equipment for which some level of new design activity is required. New PSE includes an entirely new item or the modification of an existing asset ("New" or "Modified Reuse"). "Reuse" means the asset can be used as-is without any design work needed.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation. Approval of the CDRL does not constitute Government approval to develop, use, or modify any of the assets identified herein.

aCoverInclude classification of document, title, date, program name, contract number, record/document identification number, contractor name and address, distribution statement, and other information as required per the contract.
bRevision HistoryInclude a table that shows revision history to include revision number, date of issuance, approval organization, tabs affected, and description of change.

eReferencesIdentify compliance and reference documents. Also identify in the comments sections of PSE Tables and STE Tables identified if any assets affect specific compliance documents.
fPeculiar Support Equipment (PSE) sectionThis section must clearly identify all PSE needed for the development, manufacturing, integration, and sustainment of the program. PSE shall be identified by new PSE for development, reuse PSE for development (no modification needed), reuse PSE with modifications required for development, and PSE needed for sustainment. See Figure 1 for PSE Tables and required column headings for each category. For the Description / Purpose of Use column, identify what component the PSE supports.
gSpecial Test Equipment (STE) sectionThis section must clearly identify all STE needed for the development, manufacturing, integration, and sustainment of the program. STE shall be identified by new STE for development, reuse STE for development (no modification needed), reuse STE with modifications required for development, and STE needed for sustainment. See Figure 2 for STE Tables and required column headings for each category. For the Description / Purpose of Use column, identify what component the STE supports.
