The Engine Repair Record Report will be used to document the reason an engine was inducted for repair, the results of any engine runs performed during the engine induction, the work scope as planned at induction, the configuration of the engine when received and shipped, the accrued time on the life limited components, the parts that were repaired or replaced during the overhaul, and any additional documentation of procedures and/or parts that were implemented during the repair.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task described in the contract statement of work (SOW).
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2FormatThe engine repair record data shall be in the Microsoft (MS) Excel format. Accompanying photographs shall be in the JPEG format with a list of photographs with their captions in PDF or MS Word format and may be submitted in a singular ZIP file.
3ContentEach of the following sections shall have their own tab within the submitted MS Excel file. If multiple serialized modules are repaired under one induction, include all the modules within one repair record report. Each data/title entry shall occupy a singular cell within the spread sheet.
3.1Repair DataThe repair data tab shall include the Maintenance Center, the Operator, the report author, the engine model, induction tracking data, engine/module serial number, removal date, removal reason, repair type, induction date, and completion date. The field names shall be in the leftmost column and the entries for the associated field name in the second column.
3.2Inbound PerformanceIf applicable, the inbound performance tab shall include the data reduction program input data, corrected data, predicted data, and calculated performance margins for the inbound performance calibration test. All required inputs to the data reduction program shall be included. Input and corrected data for each performance calibration test point shall be included. Predicted data and performance margins at 50% Max. Continuous, 75% Max. Continuous, and Takeoff rating shall be included. The test performance parameters shall be in the leftmost column, the units associated with that parameter in the second column, and the value(s) of that parameter for each test condition or rating point in the subsequent columns.
3.3Outbound PerformanceThe outbound performance tab shall include the data reduction program input data, corrected data, predicted data, and calculated performance margins for the outbound performance calibration test. 3.4Module WorkscopeThe module workscope tab shall include the module and the associated workscope to be performed upon the module. The module nomenclature shall be in the leftmost column and the workscope to be performed in the second column.
3.5Received ConfigurationThe received configuration tab shall include the serialized engine modules, their part number, their serial number, the time since new, and the time since last repair/overhaul. The columns shall be organized from left to right in the order listed.
3.6Shipped ConfigurationThe shipped configuration tab shall include the serialized engine modules, their part number, their serial number, the time since new, and the time since last repair/overhaul. The columns shall be organized from left to right in the order listed.
3.7Life Limited ComponentsThe life limited components tab shall include the part nomenclature, the part number, the serial number, and the time since new. The columns shall be organized from left to right in the order listed.
3.8PartsThe parts tab shall include the engine module that part is a member of, the part nomenclature, the part number, the serial number (if applicable), the quantity, the position within the engine (if applicable), the disposition of the part, and the description of the damage. If parts with the same part number have disparate damage, each type of damage shall receive its own entry with the quantity of the similarly affected parts. The columns shall be organized from left to right in the order listed.
3.9Additional DocumentationEach type of additional documentation shall receive its own tab. Each tab shall include the tracking number/document number of the document and the description of the document. The tracking number shall be in the leftmost column(s) and the description in the next column.
