The SARB Analysis Report will provide an analysis for all safety, maintenance, and operations-related documents applicable to aircraft.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task described in the contract SOW.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference DocumentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2FormatThe Report shall be in the Contractor's format.

3Content

3.1The Report shall contain the following information

3.1.1Title of Airworthiness Directive, Service Action, or related document

3.1.2Contractor document number and revision

3.1.3Contract number

3.1.4Corporate name and address

3.1.5Signature block(s) showing corporate release approval

3.1.6Source of documentationSource of documentation (e.g., FAA, Contractor, Aircraft Manufacturer, and Component Manufacturer) and documentation identification.

3.2Summary of the issue affecting the aircraft, aircraft subsystem, component, or support equipmentSummary of the issue affecting the aircraft, aircraft subsystem, component, or support equipment and the issue resolution defined by the AD, SA, or related document.

3.3Detailed information on the effects of the inspection/repair/modificationDetailed information on the effects of the inspection/repair/modification on performance, durability, part obsolescence, form, fit, function, installation and interchangeability.

3.4SA effectivity information on affected aircraftSA effectivity information on affected aircraft; landing gear; engines and APUs; air stairs; hardware part number changes associated with software changes; and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE).

3.5Compliance requirementsCompliance requirements (e.g., recommended, mandatory) and compliance time.

3.6Related and concurrent ADs and SAs

3.7FAA Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM)

3.8Recommended incorporation dispositionRecommended incorporation disposition (e.g., Incorporate, Attrition, Information Only, Incorporate in Long Range Plan, etc.), including category code for CFM engine SAs.

3.14Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) effort to accomplish the SARough Order of Magnitude (ROM) effort to accomplish the SA, including kits, parts, and consumable material costs; number of man-hours for installation, including access (open/close) and any other undefined time requirements in the SA; and requirements for special tools.

3.15Warranty availabilityWarranty availability (if applicable), including parts and labor reimbursement.

3.16For CFMI SB's spare parts categories 5-9 the contractor provided analysis reportFor CFMI SB's spare parts categories 5-9 the contractor provided analysis report must include a brief explanation of the SB, the SB category, and a recommendation.
