Use & Relationship
The Long-Range Plan for Maintenance, Modification, and Support (hereafter called the Long Range Plan (LRP)) documents and tracks the planned incorporation of future maintenance actions, modifications, and subsystem overhauls to C-40A aircraft ahead of the need to program funding and generate Technical Directives for implementation. The LRP provides a means to maintain long-term visibility of required and desired maintenance actions, modifications, and overhauls (as applicable) to the aircraft, major aircraft subsystems, and components.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task described in the contract SOW.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference DocumentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2FormatContractor format is acceptable.
3.1Title PageThe LRP shall contain a title page identifying the following:
3.1.2Report number, revision, and date
3.1.5Corporate name and address
3.1.6Signature block(s) showing corporate release approval
3.1.7Security classification
3.1.8Distribution statement
3.2Table of ContentsThe LRP shall contain a table of contents of the major sections as defined in Section 5.
3.3ContentsThe LRP shall contain the following information to support the forecasting, coordination, and integration of long-range maintenance actions and modifications into future fleet operations:
3.3.1OverviewDescription of the use and function of the Plan; integration of the Plan with the Service Action Review Board (SARB); integration of the Plan with the schedule for defined depot activities and major subsystem overhauls; and definition of roles, responsibilities, and interactions among entities involved with support planning for the aircraft.
3.3.2Current Fleet ConfigurationListing that correlates aircraft tail number with the serial numbers of currently installed landing gear assemblies, engines, auxiliary power unit (APU), and forward and rear air stair assemblies.
3.3.3Mandated ModificationsListing that correlates Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandated modifications (e.g., Airworthiness Directives) for the aircraft, landing gear assemblies, engines, and APU with aircraft tail number or serial number for major subsystem components.
3.3.4Planned Depot Maintenance ActivitiesListing of ADs; Service Actions (SAs); aircraft weight and balance; aircraft painting; and overhauls of landing gear assemblies, engines, APU, and forward and rear air stair assemblies. The listing shall be arranged by aircraft tail number and depot (C Check) date for a minimum of 12 years (four C Checks) into the future following each LRP update.
3.3.5EnginesSection containing an engine overhaul schedule as well as a listing of incorporation requirements by calendar year for applicable ADs and SAs. This section of the plan also should contain a complete history on the movement of engines within the fleet.
3.3.6APUsSection containing an APU overhaul schedule as well as a listing of incorporation requirements by calendar year for applicable ADs and SAs. This section of the plan also should contain a complete history on the movement of APUs within the fleet.
3.3.7Landing Gear (LG) AssembliesSection containing an overhaul schedule for left-hand main LG, right-hand main LG, and nose LG assemblies as well as a listing of incorporation requirements by calendar year for applicable ADs and SAs. This section of the plan also should contain a complete history on the movement of landing gear within the fleet.
3.3.8Forward and Rear Air Stair AssembliesSection containing an overhaul schedule for the forward and rear air stair assemblies as well as a listing of incorporation requirements by calendar year for applicable ADs and SAs. This section of the plan also should contain a complete history on the movement of the forward and rear air stairs within the fleet.
3.3.9Cross Reference ListingSection containing a listing referenced to ADs and SAs applicable to the aircraft, landing gear assemblies, engines, APU, and forward and rear air stairs. The listing shall relate each AD and SA to the effectivity of the aircraft or major subsystem component; the current status of AD/SA incorporation on each aircraft or major subsystem component; and the planned dates of AD/SA incorporation on each aircraft or major subsystem component.
3.4Media RequirementsThe report shall be provided as a searchable Adobe Portable Document File (PDF).
