This DID is used to report information about failure incidents and repair actions the contractor has completed in a format that can be imported to US government database systems. The data will be used to track parts usage, categorize failures, identify test failures, quantify instances of No Fault Found, link repaired items back to removal from the end item, and provide the U. S. Government with data for use in failure analyses.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverables resulting from the work task described in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference DocumentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2FormatThe Contractor Failure Incident and Repair Data submission shall adhere to the following characteristics so that it can be imported into U.S. Government databases:
2.1The file shall be named Contractor_Failure_Incident_and_Repair_Data.csv
2.2Formatted as a pipe delimited text file
2.3Trimmed field valuesNo spaces at beginning or end of field values.
2.4Inclusion of every field listed in this DIDIf no data is available for field, leave null between pipe separators.
3.1This contractor shall provide data to the governmentThat is extracted from the company's own maintenance system. The files shall include the fields, formats, and any data specifications listed in the table below. Each submission shall be an incremental file that includes data for all records that have been added to or updated in the company's maintenance system since the last file was submitted to the government. The table below specifies required and optional fields and can be further tailored in the statement of work.
