The Temporary Alteration (TEMPALT) Technical Data Package (TDP) provides the Government with documentation that describes the temporary alteration of the ship (including surface, submarine, unmanned vehicles, and other platforms). The TEMPALT TDP allows the Government to review design requirements that are applicable and appropriate for TEMPALTs and is intended to assure the ship's baseline characteristics are not compromised without proper consideration and approval.
This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirements as delineated from the work task.
Preparation Instructions

2FormatThe TEMPALT TDP shall be in the format, in accordance to Reference Document (a).
3ContentThe TEMPALT TDP shall include the following, in accordance with Section 2.6 of Reference Document (a):
3.1A copy of the Sponsor's request for TEMPALT installation authorizationa list of all platform(s) to which the TEMPALT is applicable, the TEMPALT type, the planned installation duration, any exceptions being requested for consideration, all forwarding letters/transmittals and the Government Point-of-Contact with desk and cell phone numbers and email address.
3.2The TEMPALT TDP shall contain, or indicate that it is exempt from, the following
