The Technical Manual (TM) Schedule and Status Report provides information to the Government to permit program managers to determine if TMs are being prepared and delivered in accordance with approved contract schedules, and to take timely corrective action in the event discrepancies are identified.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instruction for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
This data item shall not be procured when this information is provided by any other report supplied by the same contractor.
Preparation Instructions
1FormatThe TM Schedule and Status Report shall be presented in the contractor's format.
2ContentThe TM Schedule and Status Report shall contain the requirements of the approved contract schedule and shall contain current status of TM development/maintenance tasks. The report shall include all information related to current scheduled contract requirements and contract accomplishments. The report shall also include the following:
2.aSubmittal date for the report
2.bName and address of contractor and contract number
2.cApplicable Technical Manual Contract Requirement (TMCR) number(s), TM identification number(s), and title(s) of the TM(s) covered within the report
2.dDocument Type Definition (DTD) Public Identifier(s) used to develop the TM(s) covered by the report
2.1Contract milestones, activities, and accomplishmentsThe TM Schedule and Status Report shall identify contract milestones, activities, and accomplishments related to TM development, review, and submission from contract award to the completion of the contract. The report shall also identify other programmatic events (e.g., design schedules, ship delivery dates, equipment installation, initial training conduct, equipment production schedules) that relate to or impact TM milestones.
2.2Additional report contentThe TM Schedule and Status Report shall also contain the following:
2.2.aStatus of TM milestones and TM development and quality assurance events and deliverables versus schedule
2.2.bProgress made against TM milestones during the reporting period and an explanation of slippages and get well dates
2.2.cIdentification of problem areas and points of special interestIdentification of problem areas and points of special interest affecting technical or scheduling elements, with background and any recommendations for solutions. Results, positive or negative, related to previously-identified problem areas with conclusions and recommendations.
2.2.dA summary of communications/correspondence that resulted in contract clarification
2.2.eA summary of any significant changes to the contractor's organization or method of operation
