The S1000D Project Business Rules Decision Table provides the Government program manager with details on the project-specific implementation of S1000D project level decision point options. The S1000D project level decision point options can be obtained as specified in the contract.

This Data Item Description (DID) shall be used to document each S1000D Project Business Rule Decision for the preparation of technical manuals (TMs) in conformance with S1000D and the applicable Technical Manual Contract Requirement (TMCR).

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instruction for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of any documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2FormatThe S1000D Project Business Rules Decision Table shall be presented in a tabular format similar to that shown in Figure 1.

3ContentThe S1000D Project Business Rules Decision Table shall include a cover page specifying the following:

aName and address of contractor and contract number

bProject name

cTMCR number, TM identification number(s), and title(s) of the TM(s) covered by the Project Business Rules

dThe name of the issuing Government activity

eSubmittal date

fS1000D specification issue

gType of TM being developed

hDelivery media (PDF or IETM Viewer)

iOther significant information helpful in describing the product and its technical data and use

3.1The S1000D Project Business Rules Decision TableShall include entry for each S1000D Project Business Rule Decision for each S1000D project level decision point option as shown in Figure 1:
