The S1000D Project Business Rules Exchange (BREX) file provides the Government program manager with an eXtensible markup (XML) file. The S1000D Project BREX file shall be used to validate and verify the conformance of the Technical Manual (TM) to the S1000D Project Business Rules Decision Table provided as GFI.

This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirements as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of any documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2FormatThe S1000D Project BREX file shall be presented as specified in S1000D BREX XML data module schema, S1000D Chapter 4.10.2 "Business rules exchange; The BREX data module".

3ContentThe S1000D Project Level BREX file shall include S1000D Project Level BREX file labeling identifying the following:

aName and address of contractor and contract number

bProject Name

cTMCR number, TM identification number(s), and title(s) of the TM(s) covered by the S1000D Project Level BREX

dS1000D Project Level Business Rules Decision Table issue date

eS1000D specification issue

fThe name of the issuing Government activity

gSubmittal date for the S1000D Project BREX file

4Media RequirementsThe S1000D Project BREX file shall be electronic XML file as specified in S1000D, Chapter 4.10 (Information Management - Business Rules Exchange).
